The Morgan Family

One of the most infamous crime families in Australia is the Morgan Family Crime Syndicate. This crime syndicate is based on Melbourne. They are infamous for the gangland killings in Melbourne. Judy Moran is the family matriarch. The family’s involvement in an underworld feud led to the loss of her two sons, husband and brother-in-law. Jason and Mark Moran were her sons, Lewis Moran was her husband and Des was her brother-in-law that died during the feud. 30 more criminals die because of this underworld feud.

The Petingill Family

This is another infamous organized crime family based in Melbourne. The head of this crime syndicate is the matriarch Kath Petingill. The family members and other people involved in this organized crime family are convicted of various crimes. These crimes include drug trafficking, arms dealing, and armed robberies. The lifestyle and criminal activities of this crime family inspired a lot of films and other TV series. Victor Pierce and Trevor Petingill, sons of Kath Petingill, were both put to trial for the Walsh street police shooting back in 1988. They were both acquitted but later on the wife of Victor Pierce still made a claim of the crimes that her husband was involved with.

Motorcycle Gangs

The most infamous crime groups in these Northern territories are the Motorcycle Gangs. Organized crimes in the northern territories are believed to be caused by the division of the Hells Angels.

Another infamous group in the Northern Territories of Australia re found in Alice Springs. The huge numbers of aborigines who are unemployed in this area are the main reason for these crimes. Crimes are an important issue that is being faced in Alice Springs.

Carl Williams

One of the most infamous criminals in Australia is Carl Anthony Williams. He is a murdered and drug trafficker from Victoria, Australia. He is the main figure for the Melbourne Gangland Killings where 36 criminal figures died. These gangland killings in Melbourne involved some of the most infamous figures from the Moran crime syndicate family. He has a life sentence imprisonment for 35 years for ordering murders. While in Barwon Prison, in April 2010, he was beaten to death by some inmate using an exercise bike. Before he would have gotten parole, he wopuld have already been 71 years old.

Neddy Smith

The criminal exploits of Neddy Smith made him very popular in Australia during the 70s and 80s. He went down to history as a part of the criminal and police folklore for his involvement with some of the crooked cops in New South Whales, Australia. One particular cop he is associated with is police detective Roger Rogerson. This association with the cops by the infamous Neddy Smith inspired a lot of movies. This kind of stories has become the main plot of most of the action films these days.
